Day and Night: Little Black Dress of the Week

by YM Ousley

The little black dress is a popular staple first and foremost for versatility. Nothing is more versatile than a dress that goes easily from day to night with the change of a jacket, or switch of a shoe. This week’s little black dress is an asymmetrical, knit number with plenty of forgiving draping, and best of all a recently discounted sale price under $50.

For day, a striped jacket with classic gold buttons lends a preppy spring vibe that make the goddess design of the dress subtle enough for more conservative occasions. Patent peep-toes in light brown are ladylike without being too stuffy, and a statement ring with mixed materials, exposed wire and differently shaped elements adds a touch of disorder.
