Iceland Takes Designers for a Ride

Runways made from boxes of ice water, hot-dog vendors and amusement park rides weren’t what designers from around the globe expected when they were invited to Iceland Fashion Week.  The organizer, who claims the event was “just like” Milan or Paris, literally left designers who’d traveled from as far away as Brazil and South Korea standing in the rain. No word yet on which hot-dog vendors have been selected to participate in this season’s Milan and Paris shows.
