Taking Woodstock by Style

Costume Designer Joseph Aulisi did an amazing job transforming hundreds of extras and backdrops into the authentic aura of the 60’s and 70’s for Ang Lee’s most recent production, Taking Woodstock. Most interesting is how the fashion was put together focusing on “hallmarks of hippie culture” like headdresses, floral, kaleidoscope and maxi dress styles. Over the past five years the resurrection of 60’s and 70’s garb can be seen throughout our younger generations as a “youthful, free fashion statement”.
