Back in the 20th century nearly 95% of all garments produced in the United States came from New York City’s Garment District. Times have changed throughout the years, and although fashion remains to be a thriving industry, the business has changed. A new study from the nonprofit organization called Design Trust for Public Space finds that skilled manufacturers, workers and suppliers have helped in the area’s recent re-emergence.
