Bleached Brows: Would You?

Three years ago, model Lara Stone bleached her brows at the behest of Carine Roitfeld, who then went on to dedicate an entire issue of Paris Vogue to her, declaring: “I wanted to make her a star.”

Though having just gone back to brown for the new issue of Paris Vogue, the rest of fashion is still chasing that star and the ethereal appeal of a bare brow.

This month model Kristen McMenamy appears on the cover of Italian Vogue with none, a look she and Karen Elson popularized during 90s grunge. Many a fall show was epilated (Alessandro Dell’Acqua, Balenciaga, Miu Miu and more) and spring is seeing more of the same with Guinevere Van Seenus, Heidi Mount and Givenchy’s entire ad-cast having gone arch-blonde.

WhoWhatWear declared it a top pick in their Fall 09 Beauty email and 4^th and Bleeker blogger Alexandra Spencer gave it a bold run in her latest post.

So with everyone jumping into the bleached brow trend, would you follow?
