The fashion flock is migrating east to start round two of tail feather moving and shaking. Here’s the haps on who, where/wear and why:

Looks from Christopher Kane, Erdem, Marios Schwab
Who:
Spring chicks: For the third consecutive season, Christopher Kane (26-year-old previous Deacon intern), Erdem (whose signature is “Color, optimism, and oddities”) and Marios Schwab (inspired today by “English roses and vanitas”) will receive sponsorship from the British Fashion Council. (Also: Topshop sponsored NEWGEN will show 17 up-and-coming designers and a film.)
Mother hens: This year marks the 25th anniversary of London Fashion Week. We predict landmark looks from the veterans and nods to icons – be they trends or trendsetters. Aquascutum: This year’s show is about “shadows and London”. Christopher Bailey at Burberry Prorsum will bring us trenches yes, but what is the future of spikes and studs? Giles Deacon cites “B-movies, inflatables and technology” as 2010 inspiration and Vivienne Westwood (who describes her approach as entailing “the adaptation of historical garment construction into modern clothing”) never fails to show pieces one wears like a flag of independence.
